Terms of use
Version 2026-10-15
These terms govern the use of SetMirror, the spatial pre-production service at app.setmirror.com (the "Service"), provided by EBERLCO, Budapest, Hungary (the "Operator", "we"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are entitled to bind that company, and "you" means the company.
1. The Service
SetMirror lets production teams keep scanned locations (3D Gaussian splat scans) in a library, explore them in a browser, measure, annotate, plan camera work, lighting and rigging, export plans and share locations with other people. Features, plans and prices are described on setmirror.com; they may change over time as the Service develops.
The Service is meant for professional use in film, television, commercial and event production. It is not a consumer product and not a substitute for a site survey: measurements and plans are derived from scans and carry the scans' own inaccuracies.
2. Accounts
- You need an account to use the Service. Sign-in is provided by our identity provider (Auth0); you must keep your credentials confidential and tell us at once if you suspect misuse.
- You must give a working e-mail address and keep it current. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Accounts are personal. A company account holder may invite colleagues and clients to its locations; each invited person gets their own account under these terms.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
3. Your content and scans
Everything you upload or create in the Service (scans, locations, notes, measurements, shots, plans, exports, "Content") stays yours. You grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, encrypt, display and transmit the Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and to the people you share it with, and to make backups. We do not use your Content to train machine-learning models and we do not show it to anyone you have not shared it with, except where the law obliges us.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload the Content, including the consent of the owners or occupiers of scanned premises where that is required, and that the Content does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law. Scans may show people: you are responsible for the lawful basis of recording and sharing them.
You can delete Content at any time; a published location and its shares are removed from our servers when you delete it (see the privacy policy for backups and logs).
4. Confidentiality and sharing
Pre-production material is confidential by nature. The Service protects published scans with encryption and access control, and it never offers the viewable 3D model for download. People you share a location with (by invitation or by link) may only use it for the production it was shared for. Links show who shared the location, for whom and until when; the account holder can revoke them at any time and is responsible for choosing with whom links are shared.
We keep your Content confidential and only process it as described in the privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- copy, decompile, reverse engineer or extract the software, or try to download, scrape or reconstruct scans from the Service;
- share your sign-in, share links with people outside the production they were made for, or trade in access;
- upload malware, interfere with the Service, bypass its limits or security, or use it for any unlawful purpose;
- upload Content you have no right to upload, or Content that is unlawful, defamatory or infringes privacy.
We may suspend or limit an account that breaks these rules, after notice where that is reasonable.
6. Plans, payment and trial use
Use of the Service is subject to the plan agreed with the Operator (for example an annual location-library subscription with optional add-ons). Prices, the included number of locations, storage and users, and payment terms are set out in the offer or order confirmation you receive; payment is invoiced in advance unless agreed otherwise. Trial or evaluation access is free of charge, may be limited in features and time and may be withdrawn at any time.
When a subscription ends, access to the library, its locations and all share links ends with it. Content remains available for export for 30 days after the end of the subscription unless the law requires otherwise; after that it is deleted.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, documentation and brand belong to the Operator and its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service according to these terms for the duration of your plan. No other rights are granted. Third-party components are used under their own licences (see /third-party-notices.txt).
8. Availability, changes and support
We aim for the Service to be available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates and incidents may cause interruptions; we try to announce planned maintenance in advance. We may change, add or remove features; a change that materially reduces what you have paid for entitles you to a proportional refund for the remaining term. Support is provided by e-mail at hello@setmirror.com on business days.
9. Data protection
How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. For personal data in Content you upload, you are the controller and the Operator processes it on your behalf; a data processing agreement is available on request for company accounts.
10. Warranty and liability
The Service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant the accuracy of measurements, plans, sun positions, relighting or any other result derived from scans; always verify on site before relying on them.
To the extent the law allows, the Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or loss of business, and its total liability for all claims in a contract year is limited to the fees paid for the Service in that year. Nothing limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or where the law does not allow a limitation.
11. Term and termination
These terms apply from the moment you accept them until your account is closed. You can close your account at any time in Settings. We may terminate or suspend an account for a serious breach of these terms, for non-payment after a reminder, or if we are obliged to by law. Sections 3, 4, 7, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary. Disputes are settled by the competent Hungarian courts; for company accounts the courts of Budapest have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections of your country, where applicable, are not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A new version is shown in the Service and must be accepted before further use; material changes are announced at least 30 days in advance by e-mail or in the Service. If you do not accept a new version, you may close your account and, for a paid plan, receive a proportional refund for the remaining term.
